While researching for my keynote speech at SHPE National conferences, I got distracted by some history. I believe I am the 17th president of SHPE. What an amazing group of visionary leaders our organization has had.
I need to fill in some information. And I hope to meet every one of our past president, but this is what I found so far:
1. Rod Garcia (1974-1976)
6. Richard Jimenez (1981-1982)
7. Juan Garcia (1983-1985)
8. Juan Silva (1985-1986)
10. Jesus Vargas (1988-1989)
11. Margarita Colmenares (1989-1990)
13. Orlando Gutierrez (1993-1995)
15. Serafin Fernandez (1997-1999)
16. Jose Rivera (1999-2003)
15 (again). Serafin Fernandez (2011-2013)
20: ??This could be you! (2015-2017)
I'm hoping to fill in the missing information and update this post. Please email or comment if you know information I am missing.
